Economic Development

The CIC focuses on retaining, expanding, and attracting capital investment and job opportunities within the Spencerville Local School District.

Group Formation

Formed in 2011 after the closure of two local manufacturing plants, the CIC was created by concerned citizens aiming to revitalize the local economy.

Community-Driven

The CIC is led by a seven-member board representing the village, schools, township, Chamber of Commerce, and community members, ensuring local input and oversight.

Financial Incentives

The CIC provides support through tools like Community Development Block Grants, Tax Abatements, Industrial Revenue Bonds, and a low-interest Revolving Loan Fund program.

The Spencerville Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) -type organization based in Spencerville, Ohio. Established in August 2011, the CIC’s primary mission is to support local economic development and community growth through targeted programs and investment initiatives.
